I started painting Ketubas as a present for our friends Mike an Thom. I wanted to create a special present that will commemorate and celebrate their marriage, so I choose a traditional Jewish document, with a contemporary spirit to it.
The second one was for my cousin Moshe, and after that it seems like a good idea to branch into some Judaica art. I always thought that if I was born in the 14 century, I would probably live as a monk, and illuminate manuscripts.
Well here are some of my illuminated Ketubas, blessing of the house and Shabat Kodesh plaque.
The items are being sold at Kedem Judaica in Israel, (link at bottom of the page), and copies can be ordered directly from them.
